The most exciting new technology in dentistry today is the CEREC system! With the aid of a CAD-CAM computer, we can restore your tooth with long-lasting ceramic in a single visit. Gone are the days of runny impression materials going down your throat, temporary crowns or fillings, and returning in two weeks to have your restoration placed. The CEREC system also allows the doctors to preserve more of your natural tooth, eliminating the need for a full crown in most cases. Once the old filling, cavity, or crack is removed, your tooth is scanned into the computer, and a milling machine creates the solid ceramic restoration needed to replace it. The restoration is milled in about 10-15 minutes, and then chemically bonded to your tooth, restoring it to its original strength!
Dr. Hagen was among the first doctors in Orange County to be trained in the CEREC system, and have been providing this service to their patients for over six years. Dr. Hagen is a member of the Academy of Computerized Dentistry of North America, and has given lectures and hands-on seminars to many other dentists.
